A child of the mid 80’s, Delmiro Yorfeu do Nascimento also known as DJ Mirokikola was born in the city of Luanda – Angola. His passion for music started in Lisbon, capital of Portugal where he lived since the age of 12 until he was 16.

At that same age of 12 he already had a huge collection of music (CD’s, tapes and mini discs). His inspiration came from seing a performance by DJ João Reis in the well-known portuguese club ‘Luanda’ where he saw the crowd going wild and chanting ‘João Reis’. But that night was only the beginning for Kikola, as he is known by many of his friends.

“That night he left that club with lots of positive and constructive ideas knowing that finally discovered what he wanted to do in the future.” – he says. “One day will be as good as DJ João Reis is and will have all these people screaming for his name, that’s what he said to himself.” – he continues. In fact, it did take him a few good years having to face lots of battles, ups and downs to finally make a name for himself – DJ Mirokikola.

A friend of his friends, respectful, humble and very passionate about his work. As a religious person he always thanked God for shining on his path. Although DJ Mirokikola has never been a competitive DJ, he never took his work for granted or even think of it as a part-time. He always worked hard to have the strength and skills to encourage the people that have always supported his work. At the moment he works as freelancer DJ, despite many job offers from clubs around the UK.
